  • 812 beads
  • 13 colours
  • 52 × 52 grid
  • Intermediate
  • 2.6mm mini beads
In short: this free fuse bead pattern shows a ginger and white kitten in a pumpkin hat, with a green scarf and a little pumpkin basket. It uses 812 mini 2.6mm beads in 13 colours on a 52 × 52 grid. Once ironed, it measures about 9.4 × 8.8 cm and fits on a single 52 × 52 pegboard. All colour codes are MARD codes, compatible with Artkal and Hama mini beads.

A round little kitten with pink cheeks and a green scarf knotted at the neck, heading out trick-or-treating with its pumpkin basket. Light wood, orange and olive tones give a soft autumn feel rather than a spooky one. Lovely as a brooch, a magnet or a small table decoration for 31 October.

The green button adds one 1,000-bead bag per colour to your cart, enough to make the pattern with beads to spare. The second button opens our bead calculator with all 13 colours and exact quantities already filled in: check, adjust if needed, then add to cart. One colour is only used for a few beads, F23 (3 beads): for that one, the second button is the more economical choice.

How to make the cat in a pumpkin hat with fuse beads

  1. Get the grid ready. Print the grid in colour or display it on a tablet next to your 52 × 52 pegboard.
  2. Prepare your beads and tools. Gather the 13 colours in the pattern (H06, H02, G11, A06, A07, G08, G13, B11, H13, E14, B29, A12, F23), a 52 × 52 pegboard, bent-tip tweezers, ironing paper and an iron.
  3. Start with the outline in onyx (H06). Place it with bent-tip tweezers, following the grid row by row. It draws the silhouette and guides everything else.
  4. Fill the large areas. Use light wood (G11), white (H02), light orange (A06), orange coral (A07), dark olive green (B11), yellow green (B29), wine red (G08), sienna (G13) and papaya (H13).
  5. Add the details. Finish with the small touches: apricot (E14), light salmon (A12) and salmon (F23).
  6. Iron. Cover the pattern with ironing paper, iron on medium heat without steam. Move in small circles for 10 to 20 seconds until the beads fuse. Let it cool under a book so your piece stays flat.
