How to make the black cat in a pumpkin with fuse beads

  1. Get the grid ready. Print the grid in colour or display it on a tablet next to your 52 × 52 pegboards. Join the pegboards before you start so the design stays straight.
  2. Prepare your beads and tools. Gather the 5 colours in the pattern (H16, A10, G19, F10, G08), 4 square 52 × 52 pegboards joined in a square, bent-tip tweezers, ironing paper and an iron.
  3. Start with the outline and the cat's silhouette in jet black (H16). Place it with bent-tip tweezers, following the grid row by row. Black covers almost half of the pattern and guides everything else.
  4. Fill the large areas. Place the pumpkin (A10) beads across the whole pumpkin.
  5. Add the details. Finish with the small touches: bronze (G19), auburn (F10) and wine red (G08).
  6. Iron. Keep the pegboards tightly joined and cover the whole pattern with ironing paper, iron on medium heat without steam. Move in small circles for 10 to 20 seconds per area until the beads fuse. Let it cool under a book so your piece stays flat.
